Little People, Big World: Amy Roloff Says She'll 'Never' Date Again?
It was around 2013 when Amy and Matt Roloff started having marital problems. Things boiled over, and Matt left the family home to live in the guest house. By March 2014, the LPBW stars announced that they were officially separating but would continue to work together for their family and the farm.
It was revealed that the celebrity pair went through counseling but was ultimately told by their marriage counselor that there was nothing more he could do to help them fix the problem. Though they still held on to some hope, the Little People, Big World couple eventually filed for divorce in 2015. The divorce was finalized on May 18, 2016.
At the time, the heartbreak was simply too much for Amy Roloff. Months after the divorce, she proclaimed that she would "never" date again.
"That ain't happening," the Little People, Big World star said when asked if she was back in the dating scene. "Right now to me, it will be never, I don't see that happening."
How did Amy and Chris Marek Meet?
In 2016, however, Amy Roloff decided to go to a "wine and paint" event. There, the Little People, Big World star met Chris Marek. While they got to talk a bit at the said singles mixer, there was no instant connection between them.
As the event started, Amy was paired with a man named Bob, and the two worked on a painting together while sipping their drinks. Amy had a good time painting with Bob, but they'd be nothing more than "paint and sip" partners.
Chris Marek, however, was intrigued by Amy Roloff and asked her to go on a motorcycle ride with him. The LPBW star accepted the offer, and their relationship progressed from then on.
Amy went public with her newfound love through social media. In January 2017, the mother-of-four shared a post on Facebook, which included photos of her getting cozy with her new boyfriend. Chris also changed his status to "In A Relationship."
After five years of dating, Chris proposed to Amy in September 2019, and the two got married on August 28, 2021, at the Roloff Farms.
Many fans were not too happy when Amy and Matt separated. A number of them were also not too thrilled when the reality stars started new relationships with Chris and Caryn, respectively. In fact, many of Amy's followers doubted Chris' intentions, but it seems like everything is fine with the happily married couple.
