The con man hoped to marry Victoria to get his hands on Newman Enterprises. Victoria fell for Ashland's hoax, lock, stock, and barrel. So Victoria handed over equal power in Newman-Locke to her conniving spouse.
At the same time, Ashland's cancer lies have been exposed. Instead of reveling in his success, Ashland seems concerned about his wife. Ashland put the brakes on framing Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) because he did not want Victoria to cross any lines.
Then Adam made Ashland an offer of a huge sum of money to leave Newman-Locke and Victoria. Y&R spoilers for the week of April 18 to 22 reveal Ashland will agree to Adam's offer. Ashland will sign the papers to remove him from the business. Yet Ashland does not intend to leave Victoria behind on Young And The Restless.

Ashland was able to pull the wool over Victoria's eyes for so long. Still, Ashland has not wavered in professing his love for Victoria.
However, Locke has also stuck with his story of having cancer. So it is hard for Victoria to believe Ashland's words. Still, Victoria will encourage Locke to take the 500 million dollars so they can start a new life in Tuscany. Yet Ashland will be in for a surprise.
Once Ashland returns from sealing the deal with Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he will be ready to leave Genoa City. Y&R spoilers for the week of April 18 to 22 tease Victoria will unleash her fury on Ashland.
He will appear to be genuinely shocked when Victoria has no intention of leaving town with him. After all the countless lies that Ashland has told, Victoria will marvel at his nerve.
