Young And The Restless spoilers tease sibling rivalry will heat up in the upcoming week. Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) has always competed with her brother, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
The siblings have competed in business and for Victor Newman's (Eric Braeden) approval. Victoria has held the coveted CEO position for several years. Then the company was put at risk when she fell in love with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).
Locke nearly succeeded in his plot to take over the Newman family business. Only Adam's idea to bribe Ashland saved the Newman empire. While Victoria was struggling with Ashland's betrayal, Victor made Adam temporary CEO of Newman-Locke.
Adam was hoping to make the position permanent. Y&R spoilers for the week of May 2 to 6 suggest Adam is in for a disappointment. Victoria will deal a blow to Adam on Young And The Restless.

Y&R: Is Adam Out?
Adam Newman stepped up when the family banded together to take Ashland Locke down. When Victoria Newman wanted to use Adam to set a trap for Ashland, he agreed.
Adam also worked with Victor Newman in Tuscany to make sure that Victoria's wedding went off without a hitch. Victoria showed her gratitude by taking over Newman Media and trying to oust Adam from the company. So it is not a shock that Adam would try to make the CEO seat of Newman-Locke a permanent one.
Victora has no intention of letting that happen. When Victor suggested keeping Adam as temporary CEO a while longer, Victoria emphatically said no.
Victoria is recovering from a tragic car crash and has a shattered heart. However, she is determined to keep Adam from being CEO one moment longer.
Y&R spoilers for the week of May 2 to 6 divulge that Victoria will make a choice out of spite. Victoria will appoint Nikki as co-CEO instead of offering the position to Adam. How will Adam react on Young And The Restless?

Will Adam Cut Ties on Young and the Restless?
Adam Newman has long questioned his place in the Newman family. No matter what Adam does, he does not feel appreciated or welcomed. While it is true that Adam has given the family many reasons to be cautious, Adam has tried to change.
Victoria Newman's latest affront will push Adam to make a decision. Perhaps Adam will decide to cut ties with the Newmans once and for all. Adam cannot depend on anyone to be loyal except Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

Perhaps Adam will believe that he will always be an outsider in his family. Much like Nick Newman (Joshua Newman) walked away from the family business, Adam may do the same. Adam may cut off the family too.
