Young And The Restless spoilers predict Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) may start to feel insecure. Devon has developed a strong bond with Dominic Newman-Abbott Winters Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).
When Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) struggled from the trauma of being caught in an explosion, Devon began to worry. Chance struggled to connect with the baby.
Hamilton worried about the negative effect that Chance's issues would have on Dominic. Consequently, Devon approached Chance and Abby Newman-Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) for shared custody.
After the dust settled, Devon encouraged Chance to seek therapy. Chance took the advice and had a difficult start. Again Devon worried about Chance's influence on Dominic. Yet it seems as though Chance has had a breakthrough.
Abby watched happily as Chance spent time playing with their son. Then Chance gave Abby the news that he plans on going back to work. Abby was concerned but ultimately supported the move.
Y&R spoilers for the week of April 4 to 8 suggest that Chance and Abby will head in a positive direction. Chance will keep Abby in the loop by confiding something to her.
Chance will likely become a better husband and father. How will Devon handle Chance's growing bond with Dominic on Young And The Restless?

Y&R: Devon's Envy?
Therapy was the right choice for Chance. Going back to work could do wonders for his self-esteem. As Chance's confidence grows, he will certainly become a better father.
However, Devon is used to being the "good" dad. Yet the truth is that Devon was not meant to be a father to Dominic at all. Hamilton was originally supposed to be a sperm donor.
Devon's role in the baby's life grew unexpectedly. When Chance was missing, Devon picked up the slack. Then Devon stepped in again when Chance experienced post-traumatic stress disorder.
Now that Chance is recovering, where does that leave Devon? Hamilton does appear to be quite possessive of his biological child. So Chance's growing bond with Dominic may spark Devon's jealousy.
Will Devon Rain on Chance and Abby's Happiness on Young and the Restless?
It would be ironic if Devon was disturbed by Chance's growing confidence in fatherhood. After all, Devon believed Chance's therapy would only benefit the baby.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) encouraged Devon to request more time with Dominic. Still, the couple always used Chance's struggles as a reason to get more time.

Abby and Chance went along with Devon's request for shared custody of Dominic. That was because of Chance's mental illness. If Devon is prompted to gain custody of the baby out of jealousy, it may not work out so well.
Abby and Chance could fight back this time. After all, Chance is growing stronger as a husband and father. Abby and Chance could present a united front on The Young And The Restless.
