Young and the Restless spoilers tease Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will disappear again. Chance has had a difficult time adjusting to being home. The hero may be suffering from some kind of post-traumatic stress disorder. It is affecting his ability to bond with his baby, Dominic.
Chance's frustrations only worsen when he witnessed the obvious bond between Dominic and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Hamilton's next move will complicate matters on the CBS soap.
Devon will likely rub Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chance the wrong way. Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of December 27 to 31 reveal that Devon will ask for shared custody of Dominic.
While it is true that Devon feels a paternal attachment to the baby, he is also worried about Dominic's well-being. After all, Chance did admit he was not doing well adjusting to life back home.
Chance may realize that Devon doubts his ability as a father. Will that cause him to spiral even further on Young and the Restless?

Young and the Restless: Abby Sees Red Flags?
Abby hesitated when Chance offered to take the baby home while she dealt with issues at Society. When Abby arrived home, she saw Devon calming the baby when Chance could not.
Her husband's frustrations are bound to be of concern for Abby. Chance has tremendous guilt over missing important moments in his son's life. He may also feel guilty for not being happy to be with his wife and child.
Abby has been understanding, but she knows Chance is struggling. His mounting frustrations may cause him to take a drastic step. The holidays may be too much for Chance to handle.
Y&R spoilers for December suggest that Chance may take off on New Year's Eve. Abby and Dominic would be left alone. He may need some time by himself. On the other hand, Chance could decide to leave Genoa City altogether.

Can Chance Pull It Together on Y&R?
Chance may be more comfortable being undercover than being a husband and father. However, would he just abandon Abby and Dominic? After all, he has only been home a short time.
Perhaps Devon seeking shared custody of Dominic will be a wake-up call. Chance may decide to seek therapy. At the very least, he can pay Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case) a visit at Crimson Lights.

Abby and Chance will need to be strong if they are going to fight Devon for the baby. However if Chance leaves town, Abby may end up sharing Dominic with his biological father. Abby and Chance's vision for the future may be in danger on The Young and the Restless.
