90 Day Fiance alum Leida Margaretha gave her two cents about an online petition to get Big Ed off the TLC franchise. The wife of Eric Rosenbrook did not hold back in expressing her opinion about the issue, which continues to divide fans.
Leida, who hasn't been on the show since 2018, believes there's no way Ed Brown will be removed from the series. Here's why.
90 Day Fiance: Leida Margaretha Reacts To #CanceBigEd
Leida Margaretha may no longer be part of 90 Day Fiance, but that doesn't stop her from voicing out her thoughts about the show. The mother of one reacted to the controversial "#cancelbiged" trend, which has been making quite a buzz recently.
Ed Brown drew flak over a leaked phone call conversation between him and Liz. The audio exposed the reality star's supposed abusive ways towards his now ex-girlfriend.
Apparently, it triggered some fans to take matters into their own hands. They filed an online petition to have Big Ed removed from 90 Day Fiance and its spinoffs.
Leida Thinks Ed Brown Will Stay
But one cast member isn't impressed with the ongoing online petition. 90 Day Fiance star Leida Margaretha doesn't believe it will actually work.
During a lengthy Instagram Live, the former reality star bluntly said that Big Ed will not get fired or removed from the show. Leida reiterated that he's "still exclusive with TLC and Sharp Entertainment" despite the controversies he's facing.
She added that Big Ed is allegedly filming for the second season of The Single Life. This seemingly proves that regardless of his negative image, he will still remain on the franchise.
90 Day Fiance: Leida Thinks Petition Is 'Dumb'
Leida Margaretha claimed "there is no such thing as getting fired" from the show. The 90 Day Fiance celeb explained that cast members were basically "not employed" by the production company. Instead, they're like contractors who have an agreement with them for a specific amount of time.
Despite her "unpopular opinion," Leida maintained that she's not a big fan of Big Ed at all and even called him a "creep." However, she said she's just being "realistic," confident that Ed Brown is not going anywhere.
During the live video, Leida even called the online petition a "dumb" move. Leida Margaretha added that fans are only wasting their time and energy signing the appeal.
To prove her point, Leida used her own experience during her time on the show. In the past, someone started a petition for her to get deported. However, Leida said she's still here and already has a green card.
In the end, she told fans to simply not watch the show if they don't really want to see Big Ed.
