Time flies fast for Avery Mills and her husband, Omar Albakour. In just a few months, the 90 Day Fiance couple will celebrate three years of marriage, and they couldn't be happier about it.
Avery, in particular, is very excited about the big day. The former cheerleader took to Instagram and looked back at their anniversary celebration last year.
"I can't believe in just a few months it'll be our 3 year anniversary," Avery Mills wrote. "Here's a throwback to our 2nd anniversary, the day was magical."
Avery Mills and Omar Albakour first met on a Muslim dating app and instantly clicked. After a few months of a long-distance relationship, they got engaged. The 90 Day Fiance couple didn't waste time and tied the knot in Beirut, Lebanon.

Avery Claims 90 Day Fiance Storyline Is Fake
During their time on the show, Avery Mills' mother, Teri Watkins, has been very vocal about her disapproval of her relationship with Omar Albakour. Still, the 90 Day Fiance mom showed her support for her daughter and accompanied her to Lebanon.
At the time, Teri received a lot of criticism for her supposed doubts and dislike of Omar. But now, Avery claims that part of their storyline was fake.
In a Q&A session, Avery Mills was asked if Teri Watkins is still against her marriage to Omar Albakour. The 90 Day Fiance alum seemed to have had enough of such assumption, so she set the record straight.
Avery revealed that she considers doing a video "exposing all the fake stuff on the show." She goes on to say that her mom "always loved Omar," contrary to what was shown on the hit TLC series. Avery implied the show asked her mom to pretend to hate Omar for added drama.
"Her not agreeing with my marriage was just for the show," Avery Mills claimed. "[Teri] actually loved Omar. She's so excited, he's a great guy."
This is not the first time a cast member accused the show of faking a storyline. Deavan Clegg, Larissa Dos Santos Lima, Jay Smith, Avery Warner, and more all claimed that 90 Day Fiance is scripted — at least some parts of it.

90 Day Fiance: Avery's Mom Adores Omar Since Day One
Avery Mills did admit though that her mom, Teri Watkins, was hesitant at first when she got engaged to Omar Albakour. But the Syrian native buttered up her then future mother-in-law, talking to her online and sending her gifts.
Eventually, the 90 Day Fiance mama "grew really fond of him" even before they made it to the show. Avery also revealed that her mom stuck up for her husband and even defended him from her friends.
Avery Mills added that after almost three years of marriage, Teri Watkins now jokes Omar Albakour is her "favorite kid" because he "doesn't backtalk" to her.
