Young and the Restless spoilers tease Victor Newman could lose his trusted ally, Michael Baldwin. The prominent lawyer faces a dilemma after Jack Abbott begs him to defend his fiancee, Diane Jenkins.
While he wants to help Diane, he can't ignore suspicions that she killed Phyllis. Both ladies are his good friends, so the decision is definitely not an easy one.
Young and the Restless: Jack Begs Michael?
This week, Jack Abbott visits Diane Jenkins in jail. Y&R spoilers say she's losing hope and even asks him to stop visiting her.
But Jack isn't giving up on her. He's more determined to clear her name and get her out of prison as soon as possible.
In order to do that, he needs a high-caliber lawyer to defend Diane. Young and the Restless spoilers say he begs Michael Baldwin to take the case.
Jack tells Michael that Diane's life is in his hands. The lawyer believes she's been set up, which makes Jack feel relieved.
However, he can't commit just yet. Michael points out that Lauren and Phyllis would haunt him if does.

Victor Threatens to Fire Michael?
The news of Michael Baldwin potentially taking Diane Jenkins' case did not sit well with the Newmans. Young and the Restless spoilers say Nikki Newman thinks it's outrageous that he even considers taking the case.
Meanwhile, Victor Newman says he thought he kept Michael busy enough. But it seems he still has extra time on his hands to help Diane.
The Mustache makes it very clear that he opposes the idea of his lawyer defending Phyllis' supposed murderer. He threatens Michael that he may have to fire him if he pushes through with it. Will the two end their decades-long alliance because of Diane?

Young and the Restless: Michael Agrees to Defend Diane?
It seems Michael Baldwin is willing to take the risk. Young and the Restless spoilers say he visits Diane Jenkins in jail and tells her he agrees to defend her.
Diane is relieved knowing that she now has a fighting chance. However, Michael reminds her not to celebrate yet.

Diane didn't get bail, so she's not getting released anytime soon. But with Michael on her side, she may be able to prove her innocence. After all, Michael is a capable lawyer, as proven many times by Victor Newman.
