Victor used the opportunity to sabotage the couple's new business venture. Ashland was surprised to learn that all the investors backed out. He rightly suspected that Victor was behind it.

Ashland suspected that Victor was behind every investor backing out of funding Destiny Media. Naturally, Ashland will want to know why. Victoria said she received vague excuses, or they claimed to have other commitments.
It sounded fishy, so maybe Ashland will investigate. Young And The Restless spoilers for the week of June 27 to July 1 suggest that Ashland will be surprised by a discovery. Will Ashland learn that Victor used his cancer hoax against him?
Ashland may believe that he could use the discovery in his favor. But Victor is one step ahead of the game.
Y&R spoilers for the week of July 4 to 8 divulge that Victor will make a power move. Also, Ashland's plan will backfire. Perhaps he will try to use the cancer hoax to his advantage. After all, Victor made sure the investors knew that Ashland was "dying from cancer."
