The Family Chantel star Nicole Jimeno fails to bag this year's Miss Universe Dominican Republic. The younger sister of Pedro Jimeno did not make the cut as she competes with 14 fellow beauties on Sunday, November 7.
Nicole first confirmed her participation in the pageant last month, sharing teasers of her experiences behind the scenes. The reality star was pretty much confident about competing this year, and even shut down haters mocking her for joining the most-watched beauty contest in the world.
The Family Chantel: Nicole Jimeno Fails to Bag the Crown
The results are in! Miss Dominican Republic 2021 has been officially crowned, and no, it's not Nicole Jimeno. On Sunday night, 15 candidates vied for the coveted title, hoping to represent the DR in this year's Miss Universe pageant.
The glitzy event took place at Salón de Eventos Sambil, marking the country's 63rd time to hold the competition. Many The Family Chantel fans kept an eye on the results, rooting for Nicole to bag the title.

Unfortunately, Nicole Jimeno didn't make the cut to become the new titleholder. Andreina Martínez, representative of the Dominican Community in the USA, was crowned as the Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2021. She won the Best Body special award as well.
Martínez is a psychologist and coordinates the "Women's Equality Center" foundation in New York. She will represent Quisqueya in the prestigious beauty pageant to be held in Israel. Martínez will compete with 80 candidates from different countries.
Nicole Makes It To Top 10
Although Nicole Jimeno didn't win the crown, she performed quite well. The Family Chantel celeb made it to the Top 10 of Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2021. She did not win any special award.
Meanwhile, Debbie Áflalo of Azua was first runner-up; Yamilex Hernández of La Vega, second finalist; and Elianny Capellán of Samaná landed fourth.

The Family Chantel Star Accepts Loss
Despite losing the pageant, Nicole Jimeno seems happy with the results. The Family Chantel cast member accepts her defeat gracefully, earning her some praises from fans.

Nicole congratulated the winner and even wished her good luck for the upcoming Miss Universe competition. She's grateful for the unforgettable experiences in her latest pageant journey as well.
"Infinitely thank God for the path traveled up to this day, full of many sacrifices and emotions," Nicole Jimeno wrote. "But I can say that in the midst of all this I have always seen the hand of God at work."
