Sister Wives star Meri Brown is still grieving the loss of her beloved mother. The wife of Kody Brown said the passing of her mom, Bonnie, was an "unexpected death," causing deep sadness to her and the family.
To show their support during such a difficult time, Kody Brown and his other wife Janelle Brown attended the funeral. But some eyewitnesses at the wake expressed dismay over the couple, who allegedly "doesn't read the room."
Sister Wives: Meri Brown and Family Gather for Mother's Funeral
Earlier this week, Meri Brown held a funeral service for her late mother, Bonnie, at Rocky Ridge Chapel in Utah. The Sister Wives star still finds it hard to believe that her mom, with whom she has a close relationship, is gone.
Present at the event was Meri's husband, Kody Brown, and his other wife, Janelle Brown. This marked the first time for the three to be together in public amid the coronavirus pandemic. Kody's two other wives, Christine and Robyn, were nowhere in sight.
Kody Only Has His Eyes on Janelle During the Funeral?
Interestingly, some eyewitnesses at the funeral noticed something odd about Kody Brown. Allegedly, Meri Brown's husband was acting "energetic" and "chatty" — something many find insensitive during such an occasion.
Meri and Kody also had very minimal interactions during the funeral. It seemed the polygamous husband has his focus mainly on his other wife, Janelle, instead.
Photos from the event showed the Sister Wives couple almost inseparable from each other. At one point, Janelle was seen grabbing Kody's arm and pulled him close to her.
They were also photographed sharing a kiss at the parking lot of the chapel. Apparently, some fans find their actions inappropriate, especially during such an emotional event.

Meanwhile, Sister Wives star Meri Brown shared a picture of the funeral card of her mother. She posted a lengthy message saying how thankful she is for everything that her mother taught her. Meri also admitted that she's still in grief and doesn't know when she will be able to get back up again.
However, Meri is positive that she'll get through the pain despite all of the challenges in her life. This includes her never-ending struggles with her relationship with Kody Brown.
