Little People, Big World fans are still reeling over Matt Roloff's decision to sell the Roloff Farms. The ex-husband of Amy Roloff made the announcement earlier this week, much to everyone's surprise.
Matt clarified that he listed 16 acres of the 109-acre Oregon property featured on the hit TLC show. These include the family's original home and the famous bright-red barn.
Little People, Big World: Matt Roloff Reveals Reason Why He's Selling the Farm
As expected, Matt Roloff's decision drew mixed reactions online. While some LPBW fans supported his decision, others were more critical of it. Many were particularly disappointed that Matt seemingly opted not to sell the parcel of land to either of his sons, Zach and Jeremy Roloff.
It didn't take long for the Roloff patriarch to give more details behind this controversial decision. In his latest Instagram post, Matt revealed that he originally intended to keep the farm within the family. However, it was easier said than done.

"My ultimate hope was that the entire Roloff Farms property would stay in our family for generations to come," the Little People, Big World star wrote. "Keeping that dream alive at this point in time was just not meant to be. Unfortunately, Roloff Farm farm cannot be legally divided into multiple parcels."
Matt Roloff goes on to explain that his twin boys, Jeremy and Zach Roloff "decided not to consider working together toward a possible joint sale." The LPBW star said the siblings didn't push through with the purchase despite the huge discount he and Amy Roloff offered.
"Both of them (along with their growing families) had moved on to other interests and investments," he added. "And even tho a substantial family discount and a 'gift of equity' was offered by both Amy and I (and I still owe Amy a bundle of money), they decided individually that the timing was not right for them to purchase a part of the farm at this time."

LPBW: Zach Roloff Refutes Dad's Claims
However, Matt Roloff's claims didn't sit well with his son, Zach Roloff. The Little People, Big World star called out his father for his " extremely misguided and false" post.
"My dad is manipulating the narrative right before the season comes out," Zach ranted. "Once again, like he has for most his life not taking responsibility for his own actions and blaming others."
Zach Roloff also criticized Matt Roloff for "dragging the family drama that he created" and making it look like he's the good guy.
"This post is a new shocking low of cowardice and manipulation of his family and kids for his own gain," the Little People, Big World star ended his post.

Zach and Matt's Feud Far From Over?
It's clear that Zach Roloff and Matt Roloff are still not entirely on the same page, at least when it comes to issues about the farm. It's no secret that Zach showed interest in acquiring the massive property. The same goes for his twin brother, Jeremy Roloff.
However, the Little People, Big World siblings ended up not buying the farm. Instead, they purchased their own houses and their respective families.
Previously, Tori Roloff said taking over the farm is currently not on the table for her and Zach Roloff. The LPBW couple and their kids, Jackson, Lilah, and Josiah are enjoying peaceful family life in their Washington home.
