Counting On star Jinger Duggar and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, have their hands full promoting their latest book. One of the highlights of The Hope We Hold: Finding Peace in the Promises of God is the couple's love story and how it almost didn't happen.
Counting On: Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo's Romance Almost Didn't Happen
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo shared more details about their relationship in their latest book. The Counting On couple recalled the time when their romance almost didn't push through.
In the book, Jinger admitted that she had "fallen hard for Jeremy" but things took a different turn when she started feeling confused. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's daughter said something "shifted" within her that made her realize she just couldn't continue her relationship with Jeremy.
But Jeremy didn't give up on her that easily. After learning that Jinger was just "confused," he made up his mind and stayed. "If she had said, 'He's a jerk and I don't like him,' I'd be hurt, but I'd understand," an excerpt from The Hope We Hold read. "But to hear that she was confused and couldn't do it told me there was hope."
Jeremy Shares Jim Bob's Reaction Towards Him
Counting On star Jeremy Vuolo also shared in their latest book the moment Jim Bob Duggar rejected him for Jinger Duggar. According to Jeremy, his partying lifestyle wasn't the "deal-breaker". Instead, it was his theology that made Jim Bob worried.
Jeremy said Jim Bob even gave him a 50-page questionnaire in his bid to get to know him better. Eventually, he managed to change Jim Bob's mind, which led to him marrying Jinger.
