90 Day Fiance: Yara Zara in Disbelief as Russia Attacks Ukraine
Yara Zaya is one of the many 90 Day Fiance cast members who are worried sick about the ongoing chaos between Ukraine and Russia. The 90 Day Fiance alum, originally from Kyiv, couldn't help but get affected by the tragic news.
"It's honestly really hard for me because, yes, I do live in the United States now, but Ukraine, it is my home," Yara told Fox News Digital. "I love my country, and it's just so hard for me to even think that in 2022, in this world right now, war still exists, and people can kill other people for land and money."
The 27-year-old reality star has been in contact with some people back home who described how they were fearful for their lives. "I just talked to my friend, and she's like, 'Yara, I'm so scared, I'm hearing the bombs. I'm hearing the explosions. I don't want to hear the noise,'" the 90 Day Fiance star shared.
Yara Was Supposed to Fly Home
Yara Zaya also revealed that she was set to visit Ukraine with Mylah in a few weeks, but that won't be happening anytime soon. The 90 Day Fiance star said she worked hard to obtain documents to travel back to Ukraine before the war. Now, she's trying to figure out how she can help her friends and family back home.
"I could not go back to Ukraine for 2.5 years," Yara revealed. "I was doing documents for a very long time, and finally, everything is good. I got what I need, I planned to be in Kyiv in early March, and this is what is happening there." She added that the "airport was bombed," so flying to the country will prove difficult.
90 Day Fiance: 'War Should Not Exist in 2022'
Yara Zaya made her stance against war crystal clear, saying, "War is not normal. This should not happen!" The 90 Day Fiance star also called out Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We're living in 2022. War shouldn't exist at this time," she added. "We should be living a normal life. Normal people shouldn't die for money and land. This is ridiculous."
