Jovi and Yara joined thousands of residents who fled the state ahead of the storm's landfall. Now, the family of three heads back home, bracing themselves for the damages the storm has inflicted.

After a week of stay in a fancy Dallas hotel, Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya returned to Louisiana. The 90 Day Fiance couple took the long drive back home with their one-year-old daughter, Mylah.

The situation in New Orleans is slowly stabilizing, with phone services starting to get back to normal. It was also announced that over 60% of power had been restored around the city. It is expected to increase in the following days to come.

Along the way, Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya saw the aftermath of the storm firsthand. The 90 Day Fiance couple documented their journey back home, showcasing the current state of their city.

"The closer we're getting home, the worse it looks like," Yara said during an IG Live. She also shared photos of uprooted trees and tore roofs from houses.

Yara Nervous to Return Home

Both Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren admitted that they're nervous about going back home. The 90 Day Fiance couple is worried about the whole situation, especially with a young daughter.

Yara, in particular, fears the amount of damage Hurricane Ida has inflicted on NOLA. She's also concerned about their friends and family who opted to stay behind.

On the other hand, Jovi couldn't help but feel nostalgic about his time in Louisiana before the typhoon hit it. Despite being away for over a week, Jovi managed to extend a helping hand to the locals affected by the life-threatening hurricane.

90 Day Fiance: Jovi Shows Support to Fellow NOLA Residents

Over the past few days, Jovi Dufren has been using his platform to promote various campaigns and fundraisers for the victims of Hurricane Ida. The 90 Day Fiance celeb actively encourages everyone to donate money, food, and other necessities.

Jovi's mom, Gwen Eymard, also set up a GoFundMe campaign for Hurricane Ida Relief. As of this writing, she collected over $14,000 out of its $25,000 goal.

Gwen said all proceeds will be used to purchase supplies for those affected by the storm. These include "water, power aid, toiletries, tarps, gas, non-perishables, diapers, formula, the list goes on."

So far, Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya have yet to share the extent of damages in their home brought by Hurricane Ida.
