Emma Johnston is proud of her heritage, and she's letting everyone know about it. The 7 Little Johnstons star recently celebrated the Chinese Lunar New Year with her family.

Emma marked the traditional event with several throwback photos of herself during her previous Chinese New Year celebrations. One of the photos shows Emma and her siblings wearing traditional Chinese outfits over the years. The youngest daughter of Amber and Trent also shared a scene from her adoption day in China.

Johnston Family Joins In

For this year, Emma Johnston celebrated again with the rest of the Johnstons. The 7 Little Johnstons sweetheart shared photos from this year's celebration.

Emma enjoyed a plate full of delicious Chinese food, including dumplings. She also received a red envelope with $50 inside, which is also part of her tradition.

"May the LUNAR NEW YEAR bring you prosperity and happiness," she captioned her post. "Glad to be celebrating with my amazing family."

Emma Johnston was born in China. She moved to the U.S. after Trent and Amber Johnston decided to adopt her for good. 

Despite being away from her home country, the 7 Little Johnstons star never forgets her roots. She may have to refresh her memory when it comes to speaking her native language, though, as she previously admitted that she's no longer fluent in Mandarin.

7 Little Johnstons: What's Next For Emma?

Emma Johnston has a lot of things to look forward to this year. The 7 Little Johnstons star recently confirmed that the Johnston family would return for season 11.

Emma and Anna Johnston revealed they're done filming for the series, which excites many of their fans. There were claims that the new season will premiere around March, though that is yet to be confirmed.

Viewers can also expect to see more of Joose Jeskanen when the show returns. Previously, it was revealed that the Finnish boy had already filmed scenes with the family during his three-month star at the Johnston's house.

Aside from the new season, Emma Johnston is also looking forward to their family trip to Finland. They plan to visit Joose and his family around the summer.
