Vick fooled everyone when she walked away from the Newman family and business to have a fresh start with Ashland. The couple moved to New York City to plan their lives and start a new media empire.
Victoria made sure that Victor ruined their chances of getting investors. That way, they had to use their own money to fund their new business venture.
They both put up 250 million dollars — the same amount that Ashland had left after Victor paid him off. Once Victoria put the money into her private account, she packed her bags and prepared to leave.

Victoria Newman certainly proved the old saying — "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Victoria and Ashland married even though he supposedly had a terminal illness. The truth was Ashland faked the disease to lure Victoria into marriage.
He just wanted to get his hands on the Newman legacy. When the truth came out, Victoria was crushed. Therefore, it was a great shock when Victoria forgave Ashland and reconciled. The Newmans were horrified. Little did they know that Victoria had ulterior motives.
When Ashland realized that Victoria was leaving him, he learned the truth. Victoria played him. She never planned on a fresh start or starting a new business.
Instead, Victoria left him penniless and heartbroken. Moreover, she stated that she never wanted to see him again. Yet Ashland may have other plans.
