She is notoriously stubborn and will make a stand against her family. She will not want anyone questioning her choice.

Can the Newmans Accept Ashland on Young and the Restless?
Ashland has a long way to go before he can be redeemed in the Newmans' eyes. He repeatedly lied about his past. Also, he created a cancer hoax just to get his hands on Newman Enterprises.
So they will have plenty to say about Victoria's reconciliation with Ashland if that ever happens. Nikki and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will try to reason with Victoria.
