Young and the Restless viewers know Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is not Victor Newman's (Eric Braeden) favorite person. Sally schemed against Summer Newman Abbott (Hunter King) and helped drive her out of Genoa City. Even though Summer ended up with a fabulous life in Milan, Victor is not forgiving.
Yet, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) does not feel the same as his father. He came to Sally's rescue when she was out of a job and when Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) froze her out of their new fashion business venture.
Adam made Sally COO of Newman Media with Victoria Newman's (Amelia Heinle) approval. Neither Adam nor Victoria consulted Victor. Of course, Victoria is sure that Sally will crash and burn, which would help Victoria's vendetta against Adam.
As for Victor, he was never on board with hiring Sally for Newman Media. The Mustache even warned Adam about getting entangled with Sally. Victor will not be pleased with his son's business or personal choices on Young and the Restless.
Young and the Restless: A New Power Couple Emerges
Adam and Sally gave in to their passion just in time for Valentine's Day. Sally described herself and Adam as two wrongs being right. Yet, the pair need to work out their business relationship with the personal one.
Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of February 14 to 18 suggest Adam and Sally decide to become an official couple. Sally will tell Adam that she does not want their romance to be a secret. Adam will assure the redhead that there is no reason for secrecy.
However, Victor will state otherwise. The Mustache will advise the couple to keep their new status under wraps. Perhaps Victor is worried about Sally's reputation. Or maybe Victor is worried about professionalism.
It may even have something to do with his investigation into Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Then again, it could be due to Victor's dislike of Sally. Victor may order Adam and Sally to end things on the CBS soap.
Will Adam and Sally Last on Y&R?
Adam Newman and Sally Spectra both know what it is like to be pariahs in Genoa City. Both are eager to prove themselves. Also, at this point, there are no secrets between the pair, so they trust one another.
Not to mention, they have chemistry. If Adam and Sally make a success of Newman media, they can be the new power couple. Yet, Adam and Sally's pairing is likely to turn heads.
The duo will certainly have their share of critics, especially Chelsea and Victor, who may take measures against them. Adam and Sally will need to overcome obstacles to make it as a couple on The Young and the Restless.
