The walls were closing in, so Diane faked her death and left Genoa City. She left everything behind, including her young son. Kyle struggled with his mother's death. Now Kyle is trying to make sense of Diane's actions.

Y&R: Summer Comes Back?
Kyle Abbott is reeling over Diane Jenkins being alive. The burning question is how a mother could leave her son for so many years? Not only did Diane leave, but she also let Kyle mourn her death.
Kyle has met Diane face to face, yet her excuses fell flat. Diane was going to give Kyle space and fly back to Los Angeles. However, he asked her to stay. Although Kyle is not ready to forgive Diane, Y&R spoilers for May suggest that mother and son will slowly build a bond.
Kyle is conflicted about the anger he has for Diane. A part of him remembers praying that his mother could be alive. Now Diane is back.
Kyle has not opened up to Jack, but he did share his feelings with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). However, she is busy planning a wedding. Kyle needs a confidant. Summer and Diane Clash on Young and the Restless?
Diane Jenkins will have her work cut out for her to win Kyle Abbott's trust. It will not be any better when Summer Newman comes home. Young And The Restless spoilers for May tease there will be problems with Summer and Diane.
Perhaps Summer will take a page out of her mother's book. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) does not believe for one second that Diane has changed.
Summer may not trust Diane either. At the very least, Summer will certainly be angry that Diane has blown up Kyle's world.
