Young and the Restless spoilers tease Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will learn new information about his condition. Y&R viewers know that Ashland has been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Locke and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) are determined to make the most of whatever time Ashland has left. However, the couple has not given up hope that Ashland's condition can be improved. At the very least, they hope his lifespan can be extended.
Ashland and Victoria recently flew to Peru for a promising experimental treatment. The couple was thrilled to learn that Ashland's cancer had not progressed after starting the new treatment.
However, Ashland and Victoria are hoping for remission. Given the seriousness of Locke's condition, is remission possible on Young and the Restless?
Young and the Restless: Will Ashland and Victoria Celebrate?
Victoria married Ashland, knowing that he faced certain death. The Lockes consulted with Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), and he did not have any promising news. So the couple went to Peru with cautious expectations.
Although they learned the treatments helped, it is not a cure. Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of December 27 to 31 reveal Ashland will receive an update on his medical condition. Whether the update is positive or not is unknown at this point.

However, Ashland spent months without treatment. He knew his prognosis was poor and thought the chemo would be worse than the disease. Then, Ashland fell in love with Victoria. Suddenly, he had a reason to want to prolong his life.
Remission would be the best-case scenario. Nevertheless, Ashland and Victoria may have to face that he may be taking a turn for the worse. Victoria may be facing a future without the man she loves on The Young and the Restless.
Is There Heartbreak Ahead for Victoria on Y&R?
There has been fan speculation that Ashland was faking his illness. Many Y&R fans believed the Locke-Ness monster was after the Newman empire. Yet, it seems particularly cruel to do that to Victoria.
Also, Ashland would have had an extensive reach to fake this illness. So on the slim chance he has a nefarious plan to steal Newman Enterprises, Victoria would be devastated.

However, it seems as though Ashland's cancer is real. So if he gets bad news, Victoria will be heartbroken.
Perhaps the medical update will be good news. Then, the Lockes can continue building their empire and become uber-powerful. Victoria and Ashland may even welcome little Newman-Lockes of their own. Will Ashland and Victoria have their happily ever after on The Young and the Restless?
