Young And The Restless spoilers tease trouble in Chance Chancellor's marriage. Abby Newman-Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance have had a rough time in their union. Shortly after the couple tied the knot, Chance was called away on a dangerous secret mission.
Meanwhile, Abby went through the surrogacy process to have their son. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), the surrogate, was kidnapped. Then Mariah gave birth with Abby and Devon Hamilton's (Bryton James) help.
Chance was involved in an explosion and returned home. He suffered from post-traumatic stress syndrome. Despite all their problems, the couple finally had a period of happiness.
Then Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) orchestrated a cover-up the night Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) died. Chance was the detective working on the case. He was convinced that Victor was guilty, but he closed the case.

The Ashland case remains a threat to all the Newmans. Not only is Chance Chancellor struggling with his decision, but Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is in the mix.
Adam got a hold of Kevin Fisher's (Greg Rikaart) GCPD laptop and knew all the details of the case. The outcast Newman may apply some pressure on Chance, which may impact his marriage. Further Y&R spoilers for the week divulge that Abby will lose it on her husband. Perhaps Chance's promise had to do with Dominic Newman-Abbott Winters Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).
The little guy will be celebrating his first birthday soon. If Chance breaks a promise about Dom, Abby will lose her cool, especially when her husband is brooding over not sending Victor to prison. Still, Abby can always count on Devon to step up when Chance disappoints her.

Devon is Dom's biological father. The agreement was that he would be just the sperm donor. Yet Chance Chancellor's absence allowed Devon to develop a strong bond with the baby.
