The two have a longstanding feud that is about to reignite. Billy is concerned about Adam's influence on the family business. Jabot is the company that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) built, so he wants to protect it.
Billy accused Adam of destroying everything he touched. He also warned him that he would be watching his every move. Moreover, Billy will have some choice words for Jack.

Adam Newman worried about how the Abbott family would react to his new job. Jack Abbott assured him that some family members accepted him as CEO.
Still, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is leery, while Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) have not weighed in. As for Billy, there is no doubt that he is incensed. Young And The Restless spoilers for September speculate that he may cause shakeups at the company.
Meanwhile, Adam gave Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) the news that he would be co-CEO of Jabot. Victor told his son that it was a big mistake. He pointed out that it is a family company and that he would only be treated as an outsider.
However, Adam countered, reiterating that he has been treated as an outsider by his own family. Victor also mentioned his rivalry with Jack over the decades. Will Jack and Victor's feud flare up?
Adam may be caught up in a battle between the two tycoons. Not to mention Billy could find a way to remove Adam from Jabot on Young And The Restless.

There was a clause in the company's bylaws that only a blood relative could be the CEO. Will Billy use that clause against Adam?
