Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, September 4, reveal Victor Newman telling Michael Baldwin about his mission. Victor offers him a job with pay he can't refuse. But is he up for the task?
Meanwhile, Phyllis Summers is still hoping to secure a job with Cane Ashby, but she's starting to annoy her boss. The Newmans will also team up to discuss the powerful AI, assuming that Cane might use it against them.
'Young and the Restless': Victor Negotiates With Michael
Friday's spoilers for Young and the Restless show Michael's conversation with Victor about his job. Victor will tell Michael to accept Cane's job offer and use it to spy on him.
Michael struggles to accept Victor's offer due to his loyalty to him. "You want me to work for Cane, but I'd really be working for you," he says.
However, Victor tells him it's for the best. "It would be my penance, my way back in the door," he adds.
Phyllis then sees Michael and starts asking questions. She was curious about who he was working with. "I'm happy to see you haven't lost your talent for eavesdropping," Michael tells her. Phyllis went on with her guesses before realizing it was Cane. "Cane needs a fixer," she says.
Phyllis Upsets Cane
At Victor's office, Adam, Nick, and Victoria discuss their plans for Cane. They're plotting to go to war with him.
Victor then tells them that Cane is creating a powerful AI software that could turn the tide to his favor.
"So, how do we stop Cane Ashby? Because he has to be stopped," Victor asks his kids. Victor then opens up about the evidence he discovered about how Cane and his father got their fortune.
Spoilers for Friday's episode of Young and the Restless then show Cane having a chat with Lily at the park. She tells him that the video he made left her emotional.
Lily admits that she saw a glimpse of the man she used to love. However, Lily is still skeptical about Cane's true plans. "Reveal everything to me and then maybe I'll believe," she adds.
But before Cane can explain, Phyllis arrives, telling him about the progress at Arabesque. This leaves Lily upset, saying, "I think I've seen and heard enough."
"Lily, I'm sorry, just give me a moment to get rid of Phyllis," Cane tells Lily. He then calls out Phyllis for getting into his private life.
