'Young and the Restless' Spoilers (July 24): Nick & Sharon's Escape Flops

Young and the Restless spoilers for July 24, Thursday, revolve around the investigation of Damian Kane's murder. Nick Newman was accused as the primary suspect following the planted murder weapon in his bathroom. He ended up in house arrest with Sharon Newman.

Spoilers say that the two will try to escape, but things won't go their way. Meanwhile, it seems Victor Newman is one step closer to finally uncovering the truth about the murder mystery.

'Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Nick & Sharon Newman's Escape Gone Wrong

Spoilers for Thursday's episode of Young and the Restless reveal Nick and Sharon's attempt to escape has gone wrong. Sharon successfully picked the lock but when Nick opened the door, they were met by a guard.

Nick struggles with the guard, but is ultimately overpowered. Nick is slammed against a rusty chest, the sharp edge slicing his skin open. He then picks up a champagne bottle and smashes it on the guard's head.

But that's not the end of it. Nick is badly wounded and requires medical help asap. He asks Sharon to get help outside. 

Later, Sharon arrives with Billy, who rushes to help Nick. "He needs someone here who knows more first aid than we do. Or I'm telling you he's not going to make it," Billy declares.

Cane Ashby Continues To Make Allies

Thursday's spoilers for Young and the Restless also show Cane gaining more allies. Billy offers and alliance and asks for a major role at Abbott Communications.

"I hate to disappoint you Billy, but I'm not ready to make a handshake deal," Cane replies. However, Billy continues to convince him, saying that he will need allies when he gets back to Genoa City.

"I know what you want and I can help you get it," Billy adds. Cane considers the offer and tells Billy that he would get answers from him soon. 

'Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Victor Newman & Chance Chancellor Had Carter Cornered?

While Cane continues to go on his way, Victor and Chance are starting to uncover puzzle pieces regarding Damian's murder. The two will question Carter, who maintains his innocence.

Victor asks if he is protecting Cane, whom he's been working with for two years. "You have such a sense of duty to your employer, you might protect him no matter what," Victor notes.

Chance will then ask if he was involved in framing Nick as the main suspect for Damian's murder, mentioning the planted knife in his bathroom.

But Carter seemingly slips after saying that he didn't put a knife under the sink. "We never said they placed that knife under the sink," Chance points out.

"You put it there yourself, to frame my son for the murder of Damian Kane," Victor chimes in. Cane arrives and overhears the argument. He takes Carter to talk with him with private, dodging more questions from Chance and Victor.
