Jack Abbott thinks Jeremy Stark's death could clear Diane Jenkins. However, that is not the case at all.
Young and the Restless spoilers say Michael Baldwin thinks it only makes the case even more tricky. While Jeremy can't testify against her, he also can't exonerate her.
Jack isn't giving up. He wants to make sure his future wife will be out of prison as soon as possible.

Young and the Restless: Will There Be a Prison Wedding?
It may take a lot of work before Diane Jenkins gets off the hook. For now, Jack Abbott could only show his love and support in his own way.
Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack begs Diane not to give up. He reminds her that his purpose in life now is to be a man she can depend on. He then proposes to marry her immediately.
Given the situation, the couple may have to skip the grand ceremony and settle for a prison wedding. It doesn't look like Diane's getting out of jail anytime soon. If Jack really wants to marry her asap, it has to be in jail.

Of course, there's also the question of whether Diane will agree to it or not. She's already feeling hopeless about the whole thing. Adding a rushed wedding into it might be too much for her.
