'Young and the Restless' Spoilers (August 29): Cane's Plan Gets Unexpected Twist – Claire Reconciles With Kyle?

Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, August 29, reveal Cane Ashby's real plans after backing down on his goals to take over Genoa City. Phyllis Summers gets upset about the sudden turn of events, begging Cane to continue pursuing his goals. Meanwhile, Claire Newman gives Kyle Abbott a chance following their huge fight.

'Young and the Restless': Cane's Shocking Masterplan

Cane tells Amanda about his biggest master plan that nobody would expect in Friday's spoilers for Young and the Restless. Phyllis shows up at his private train, asking him to continue working towards his goals. "Please tell me you are not killing your plan," Phyllis tells Cane, who insists that his only goal is to reunite with his family. Phyllis gets upset and questions him about whether he's just going to sit on his hands until his kids get over all the things that have happened. "I have nothing. I am not going to let the rug be pulled out from under me, yet again," she adds.

Phyllis went on to convince Cane. "I know I can do this, you need to tell me your plan, Cane," she desperately tells him. However, Cane remains unbothered, insisting that he only wants to fix everything. Phyllis leaves, and Amanda arrives. "Why throw in the towel?" she asks. Little did Phyllis know, it was all part of Cane's biggest plan. He intentionally wants to let everyone know that he's now only after fixing his family, which puts everyone's guard down. "And while the spotlight isn't on me, I'll make my move. One that no one will expect," he adds.

Claire Gives Kyle A Chance

At Society, Jack and Diane discuss Kyle's desire to propose to Claire following their huge misunderstanding. The two will try to talk Kyle out of it. But even his parents won't stop him. "You make it sound like it's a terrible idea. So, why don't you want me to marry Claire?" he asks. Diane explains that a proposal could make things worse, as Claire might assume he's using the proposal to distract her from their ongoing issues.

Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday's episode show Kyle meeting with a jeweler to pick out a ring. He runs into Claire at Crimson Lights and takes the opportunity to ask her for dinner. Kyle tells Claire they shouldn't let Audra destroy what they have. But Claire explains that she's not happy about what he did. "It isn't what she did, it's what you did," she says. Regardless, Claire still agrees to have dinner with Kyle, hoping that it will help them heal.
