Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, August 26, revolve around Cane Ashby's decision to terminate his sinister plans with Phyllis Summers. Victor Newman shows his greatest weapon against Cane, and it seems it made him realize the risk he's taking.
The spoiler then shows Cane recalling his final moments with his father, just moments after he made a heartfelt video for his estranged kids.
'Young and the Restless': Cane Records A Video For His Kids
Spoilers for Tuesday's episode of Young and the Restless reveal Cane recording a message for his kids after reading the inheritance letter from Genevieve. It was the woman from whom Colin got his fortune.
Cane began to record his message for Mattie and Charlie, saying, "It's a long time coming, but I can't risk these words not being said." He then explains why he has done things that resulted in their estrangement. He talks about Colin, adding that the last thing he wants for them is to have an irresponsible father.
Cane also gushed over Mattie and Charlie for their maturity. He apologizes for breaking their hearts more than once. "And that kills me," he says, adding that he never knew the consequences of his actions.
'Y&R': Cane Shuts Down Sinister Plans
Phyllis eavesdrops on Cane's message in Tuesday's Young and the Restless spoilers. She shows up and asks if he sent the video to his kids. He tells her he didn't, but Phyllis insists he should.
"You love your kids, they love you, so you should send it to them," she adds. Phyllis went on to say that they're his kids at the end of the day. "Don't do that, don't defend me," Cane replies.
Phyllis then talks to Nick about her AI research project. She wonders where he will use the powerful tool. She then sees the letter Victor gave Cane. "Victor made his next move," Cane tells her, explaining, "He conned a woman out of a small fortune." The spoiler then shows Cane calling Phyllis about the AI project. He tells her that he has changed his mind. Phyllis thought he was talking about the dinner. "No. The plan is dead. I'm not moving forward," Cane clarifies.
