Connor Floyd noted that Chance Chancellor is fond of Summer Newman-Abbott, and the reason is quite intriguing. The Young and the Restless actor hinted at a possible plot twist that could bring Chance and Summer together as a couple.
In the same interview, Floyd explains why Chance is seemingly drawn to Summer. He muses that she reminds him of his ex-wife, Abby.
The actor adds that "there's something with the baby and family drama" that makes him want to be there and help her.
