Wedding bells are ringing for General Hospital star Steve Burton (Jason). The actor started the new year with a bang, getting down on one knee to his girlfriend, Michelle Lundstrom. Burton shared the happy news on Instagram, which delighted many of his followers.
In his post, the Daytime Emmy winner proudly announced that he's officially "Engaged" on January 3, 2025. He even added a quote: "Jeremiah 29:11: 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
Burton and Lundstrom first went public about their romance in May 2024. At the time, the General Hospital actor gushed about his new ladylove, calling her "an amazing woman." Lundstrom appeared on Netflix's BBQ Showdown Season 2. The couple has yet to share further details about their wedding plans.
Meanwhile, Burton's GH co-stars celebrated the news, showering him and his fiancée with love and heartfelt congratulations. Laura Wright (Carly) exclaimed, "Wooooo hoooooo. Congratulations!," while Rick Hearst (Ric) wrote, "Steve and Michelle I wish you both a long, loving and fruitful life together! Congratulations!" Finola Hughes (Anna) also chimed in with, "Oh Steve!!!! Congratulations! I wish you both all the happiness in the future, you are a wonderful couple! Congratulations Michelle!"
This will be the second marriage for Burton. The actor was married to Sheree Gustin before ending their 23 years of marriage. Burton reportedly filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." Shortly after announcing the separation in July 2022, the General Hospital star set the record straight about the rumors surrounding the split. "I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated," he wrote on Instagram. "She recently announced that she is expecting her fourth child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time."
Burton and Gustin share three children, Makena, Brooklyn, and Jack.
