
General Hospital star Tony Adams, known for his role as Dr. Neville Bywaters in the popular series, has passed away. He was also popular for his roles in Crossroads and Dr. Who. Tony died at the age of 84 at Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. His wife, Christine, was by his side in his final moments. There are currently no causes of death reported. But many fans and co-stars of Tony expressed their sadness online.
Tony's Rise To Fame

Tony thrived in his career as an actor when he debuted on General Hospital in 1978. He became one of the show's most iconic characters. He later became Adam Chance of Crossroads, resulting in his rise to popularity. In a 2014 interview, Tony revealed that being an actor and consistently filming was "torturous" and "terrifying." Regardless, he committed almost half of his life to the cameras. "It was one of the best shows I ever did," he added, as he gushed over his time filming Crossroads.
Fans Pay Tribute

Several colleagues of Tony paid tribute on social media following his passing. One of them is Russell Davies, who described Tony as a fun friend with a deep love for the show. Russell also revealed Tony's humble personality, saying that his last text for him was, "I was never a star! I was just bloody lucky to have been there."
Actress Kate Robbins also said that Tony taught her many things, including drinking vodka martinis. She added, "How to avoid knocking into the wobbly scenery, and he knew the best hangover cures too! Always professional and always hilarious. God bless you, Tony.. Such a positive force of nature." Many fans also paid tribute in Russell's comments section.
