BTS has done it again! The worldwide K-pop sensation dominated the international stage, this time, on MTV Unplugged Presents: BTS. The seven-member boy band — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jungkook, V, and Jimin — treated their fans with never-before-seen versions of their biggest hits.
But one particular performance immediately went viral online. The group wowed viewers with an unexpected cover of Coldplay's hit, Fix You.
BTS Made History Again
BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jungkook, V, and Jimin made history yet again. On Tuesday, February 23, the group became the first-ever Korean act to perform on the iconic MTV Unplugged. This is definitely a big milestone for South Korea's biggest K-pop group in history.
BTS brought their own twist and flavor as they took on the MTV stage straight from Seoul, South Korea. It was a night to remember for music enthusiasts, most especially the ARMY.
"It's really an honor to be a part of the MTV Unplugged legacy, where so many legends have performed," RM said at the opening. "We're definitely thankful, honored we got to be a part of this."
BTS Performs Their Biggest Hits
BTS never ceases to amaze fans with their world-class performances, even if they do it remotely. The South Korean boy band kicked off their very first televised performance with Telepathy, the lead single from their album BE.
They then followed it with the emotional ballad Blue & Grey, which was co-written by member V. BTS also touched viewers with a seated rendition of Life Goes On.
For their grand finale, BTS performed a fresh version of their chart-topping hit Dynamite. "First, we miss you ARMY so much!" Jungkook told fans as they concluded the show. "We look forward to seeing you again, and until then, we will continue to stay by your side this year with good music."
Fans Impressed by Their Version of 'Fix You'
As if their big hits were not enough, BTS just dropped an unexpected performance, leaving fans nearly fall off their seats. The face of Big Hit Entertainment took their game up a notch with an amazing cover of Coldplay's hit Fix You.
BTS showcased their versatility as they performed the song flawlessly. The group's rap line, RM, Suga, and J-Hope, did an amazing job blending in their singing voices with the vocal line. Seeing the rappers sing is not something fans see often.
Jungkook, V, Jimin, and Jin were exceptional as always, singing to the tune effortlessly. Fans all over the world were moved by BTS' version of Fix You.
It's clear that boys nailed their performance. They even got the approval of Coldplay's avid supporters. It'll be interesting to see the group do more covers in the future.
