'90 Day Fiance': Paola Mayfield Officially an American Citizen

90 Day Fiance star Paola Mayfield finally completed her journey to becoming a U.S. citizen.  The wife of Russ Mayfield revealed earlier that she passed the final process and is now officially a naturalized American.

It's been over seven years since Paola first set foot in the country under a K-1 visa. But it wasn't until last year when she applied for her citizenship. Now, the reality star is more excited for bigger things coming her way.

Paola Mayfield just hit the biggest milestone in her years of stay in the U.S. The 90 Day Fiance alum revealed she's officially an American citizen after nailing her final test and interview.

Russ Mayfield's wife documented the process, including her actual interview day and oathtaking ceremony. In a YouTube video, Paola shared how she prepared for the interview with the immigration officers.

The 90 Day Fiance star said she's been practicing answering some of the potential questions on the interview. Paola also prepared documents to prove her eligibility, including taxes she and Russ paid for the past three years.

Paola's Reality TV Fame Brought up in the Interview

It didn't take long for Paola Mayfield to complete the interview. The 90 Day Fiance star admitted she was nervous but managed to answer the questions confidently.

Paola also revealed that the immigration officer recognized her from the show. The reality star said her interviewer joked that "doing TV" is more difficult than the actual interview. Despite being a public figure, Paola clarified that she did not get any special treatment and was asked all the necessary questions.

Paola Mayfield's journey to becoming an American citizen was never easy. The 90 Day Fiance celeb had to go through a tedious process just to get to where she is right now.

90 Day Fiance: Paola's Journey to Citizenship Never Easy

Paola Mayfield looked back at the time when she and Russ Mayfield opted to take the K-1 visa route. This is after her tourist visa got rejected. Paola revealed that she waited eight months just to get an interview with an immigration officer in Colombia.

Once she arrived in America, she and Russ moved to an apartment and planned their wedding within 90 days. After tying the knot, Paola waited years before applying for citizenship.

She officially applied on March 2020 and didn't get an interview until this month. Paola is now looking forward to bigger things coming her way.

One of the things that's keeping her busy at the moment is her new career as a pro wrestler. Paola Mayfield recently introduced "Paola Blaze," who promises to bring Latina heat in the ring.
