90 Day Fiance star Michael Jessen shocked his fans earlier this week after announcing his split from Juliana Custodio. The wine business owner couldn't contain his emotions as he confirmed the sad news on social media.

It didn't take long for Juliana to respond to her husband's statement. The supermodel seemingly took offense and refuted some of his claims. Now, Michael is taking a step back from the controversy before it even gets worse.

90 Day Fiance: Michael Jessen Apologizes to Juliana Custodio

Looks like Michael Jessen wasn't ready for the aftermath of his controversial post about his split from Juliana Custodio. The 90 Day Fiance alum recently confirmed their separation and made some shocking claims about his wife.

In his lengthy statement, Michael said his marriage with Juliana was hit hard by the pandemic. He also claimed that Juliana "quickly found someone new," implying that she's already moved on with someone else.

However, Juliana Custodio quickly refuted Michael Jessen's claims. The 90 Day Fiance celeb clarified that COVID-19 wasn't the only reason why they separated.

Juliana revealed that she's been financially supporting Michael and his family as she was the only one working at the time. Despite that, the Brazilian native claimed she's still being treated badly.

"I wasn't part of the family anymore. I was feeling like a maid," Juliana Custodio said. "It was toxic to a point I was not living the life I wanted to live."

Michael Retracts Post About Split From Juliana

The 90 Day Fiance cast member also denied claims she already moved on with a new guy. "You say I have 'found someone new,' but the truth is, I found happiness within myself," Juliana Custodio pointed out. "I am happy with the new phase, and I ask you to let me go."

Following Juliana's response, Michael seemingly backpedaled with his allegations. He made changes to his statement, saying it's a "mea culpa" on his original post and their marriage.

"I am truly sorry to have hurt Juliana, and anyone else, in any way. It was not my intention and it was a mistake to post such a delicate and private matter publicly," Michael Jessen apologized. "Any negative and defamatory comments that were said about her or anyone else as a result of the OP (except for some comments that were made about me) are not true."
