90 Day Fiance star Jon Walters and his wife, Rachel Bear Walters, finally have updates on their visa application. The TLC stars have been working on obtaining a spousal visa for quite a while now.
The couple is one of the few on the show who ditched the K-1 visa and took a different route. But the whole process has never been easy for Jon and Rachel. From eligibility issues to financial challenges, they've experienced it all. Will they finally make it happen and reunite for good in America?
90 Day Fiance: Rachel and Jon Walters Share Latest Visa Updates
Rachel Walters and her husband, Jon Walters, finally gave fans the latest on their visa application. The 90 Day Fiance fan-favorite couple took to social media earlier and shared details of its status.
Rachel revealed that they filed for a visa three years ago and have been waiting for an interview. On May 5th, Jon finally got his interview, but things didn't end up well.
Rachel Walters said her husband's initial visa interview was denied almost instantly. Apparently, Jon Walters' record "looks bad on paper" because of his "criminal conviction" in the past.
It was bad enough for the embassy to reject it without looking into the rest of the paperwork. But the 90 Day Fiance couple said it doesn't really surprise them at all.

Rachel Walters Expected the Outcome – Takes Next Step
Rachel Walters pointed out that they had expected it to happen even before Jon Walters proceeded with his application. The 90 Day Fiance celeb said they anticipated it early on and made preparations for it.
Rachel revealed they already paid a lawyer beforehand to start the next step, applying for a waiver. Basically, this will give Jon the chance to appeal and explain his side. He can also ask for forgiveness about his past and show the immigration that he and Rachel are a real deal.
Shortly after getting rejected, Jon and Rachel Walters immediately got working on the waiver. The 90 Day Fiance couple paid over $900 and was told to wait three to four weeks.
Fortunately, Jon's waiver application gets approval weeks in advance. Rachel got the acknowledgment receipt in the mail this weekend, which is definitely a big deal for them.

90 Day Fiance: Jon and Rachel Remain Optimistic
Despite their initial visa application getting rejected, Jon Walters and his wife, Rachel Walters, are not losing hope. The 90 Day Fiance stars keep a positive attitude, especially now that the process is moving along just as expected.
Jon, in particular, thinks he'll have due process if he gets the chance to explain himself. The reality star is eager to show immigration that he's a good guy despite his criminal record. He was convicted of bodily harm without intent when he was in college.
The 90 Day Fiance star pointed out that he was never sent to prison or in a gang. Jon Walters added he's been paying for it for years now, and it seems to be more than enough punishment.
On the other hand, Rachel Walters is optimistic that they will succeed in the "final leg in the race." The mom of two hopes the immigration will look at everything and base their decision on what they are as a family.
Rachel said their next visa update would be the final answer. It will likely take six to nine months from now before they can get the official results.
