90 Day Fiance fans still can't get over Geoffrey Paschel's guilty verdict earlier this week. The TLC star was convicted of multiple criminal charges after a two-day trial in Knox County, Tennessee.
Geoffrey's guilty verdict also drew mixed views from his fellow cast members. While some feel sorry for the reality star, others express disgust about his supposed crimes.
90 Day Fiance: Geoffrey Paschel Found Guilty of Domestic Violence
On Thursday, October 7, the jury found Geoffrey Paschel, 44, guilty of three criminal charges from his ex-wife, Kristen Wilson. The 90 Day Fiance alum was convicted of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, and interference with emergency calls.
Geoffrey was allegedly violent towards his former spouse. At one point, their heated argument went so bad that the police had to intervene. Despite the "bruises" and "abrasions" found on his ex-wife's body, Geoffrey denied being violent to her. He insisted that her injuries were "self-induced."
The 90 Day Fiance celeb, who is currently in custody, had his bond rescinded by the jury. He could now face up to 30 years in prison without the possibility of parole. Geoffrey Paschel's sentencing hearing is on December 3, 2021.
Geoffrey's Fellow Cast Members React to His Verdict
Shortly after Geoffrey Paschel's guilty verdict was televised, many 90 Day Fiance cast members gave their two cents about the issue. While some favor Geoffrey, others are more critical of him.
Deavan Clegg, for instance, took to her IG Stories and chimed in about Geoffrey's verdict. The mother of two said she's "happy" for Kristen Wilson for getting justice and being able to finally "feel safe."
The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star also alleged Geoffrey Paschel targeted her and her young daughter, Drascilla, on social media. Deavan Clegg is not the only cast member who feels negatively about Geoffrey Paschel. Jon Walters seemingly shares the same sentiment after the verdict
In a lengthy post, the husband of Rachel Walters bluntly said he's ending his friendship with Geoffrey. The 90 Day Fiance alum admitted that he "found Geoffrey to be a kind and decent man." However, he pointed out that "many abusive sociopaths and domestic abusers" have the same facade. Jon said he "should treat him with contempt and disgust fitting a domestic abuser."
90 Day Fiance: Natalie Mordovtseva and Corey Rathgeber Show Support
Meanwhile, it seems Geoffrey Paschel has found an ally with Natalie Mordovtseva and Corey Rathgeber. The 90 Day Fiance stars appear to be more sympathetic toward him.
Natalie showed her love and support for the convict on social media. The ex-wife of Mike Youngquist shared a throwback group photo with Geoffrey and Varya Malina. She said she "couldn't believe yesterday tv news" about Geoffrey's guilty verdict.
The Russian native then tagged her fellow 90 Day Fiance cast member on her post, saying she'd pray for him. She even gave him some encouraging words, telling him "everything will be okay."
On the other hand, Corey Rathgeber seems to doubt the results of Geoffrey Paschel's case. The husband of Evelin Villegas pointed out that Geoffrey "could have accepted an early deal that involved no jail time and basically no other issues."
But instead of doing that, he opted to go on with the trial confidently. "If he was so confident to go to trial, is there something we are missing?" Corey added. Be sure to check back with Showbiz Army to stay updated about this story.
