7 Little Johnstons family had a rather eventful year, partly because of the newest member of their household. Earlier this year, Amber and Trent Johnston welcomed Finnish exchange student, Joose Jeskanen, into their home.
Joose has been staying at Amber and Trent's house for a few months now. But it seems his days with the Johnstons family are already numbered as he might be going back home soon.
7 Little Johnstons Family Enjoys Holidays With Joose Jeskanen
The 7 Little Johnstons household celebrated the holidays extra special this year. They marked the festivities as a family of six as they were joined by their houseguest, Joose Jeskanen.
Amber and Trent Johnston hosted Christmas Eve at their home in Georgia. All of their kids — Elizabeth, Jonah, Anna, Emma, and Alex — gathered together for the event. Liz's boyfriend, Brice Bolden, joined in the fun too.
A familiar face was also present at the 7 Little Johnstons gathering — Joose Jaskenen. Ever since his arrival a few months ago, Joose has joined the Johnstons family in many of their celebrations.
Joose Jeskanen experienced his first Thanksgiving with Amber, Trent, and their kids. He also had a blast carving Jack-o'-lanterns with the whole family.

Joose Gets Nostalgic About the Johnstons
It seems Joose Jeskanen really enjoys his time with Amber and Trent Johnston, as well as their children. The 7 Little Johnstons newbie couldn't help but gush at his host family, whom he described as "amazing" people.
Joose took to his Instagram and shared some of his fondest memories with the Johnstons. One photo shows him hanging out with Trent. Another one reveals his close bond with Emma and Alex.
The 7 Little Johnstons star also had memorable moments with Anna, Elizabeth, and Jonah. The older Johnstons definitely considered him a younger brother, which many find adorable.

7 Little Johnstons: Joose Hints at Leaving the Country Soon?
Joose Jeskanen also looked back at his "first moments" with the 7 Little Johnstons stars. The foreign exchange student shared some throwback photos with his host family taken during his first few days in the country.
"First moments with the Johnston family," Joose captioned the post. "It has been an amazing time spending with them."
Joose's caption somehow sparked speculations that his stay with Trent and Amber Johnston is about to end. 7 Little Johnstons fans quickly asked him whether or not he's returning to Finland soon.

According to a local Finnish media outlet, Joose Jeskanen did not enter the U.S. through an exchange student organization, thus he's not qualified to get to the local school. It turns out, Amber and Trent were directly contacted by Joose's mother and asked if they're willing to accept Joose into their home.
Considering this, it's likely that Joose Jeskanen entered the country through a visitor visa. Usually, a single-entry visa is valid for one to six months. Since he arrived in late October, he probably still has at least four months to stay with the 7 Little Johnstons family.
So far, Joose has yet to confirm nor deny if he's leaving the country soon. Keep an eye out for his debut on next week's episode of 7 Little Johnstons.
