7 Little Johnstons: Emma Johnston Skips Cheerleading This Year

Looks like Emma Johnston is hanging up her cheerleader uniform — at least for now. The 7 Little Johnstons sweetheart revealed she's skipping this year's cheerleading, raising many questions from fans.

During a Q&A session on Instagram, Emma was asked whether or not she'll participate in her school's cheer team again. The TLC star responded, "Nope. Not anymore," alongside a photo of herself posing with a thumbs down.

Many had noticed the disappointed look on Emma Johnston's face when she confirmed that she's not returning as co-captain this year. 7 Little Johnstons fans were worried something unpleasant happened to her last cheer season.

Others think Emma's hectic schedule filming for the show contributed to her decision to quit her team for now.

Emma Loves Cheerleading But…

Some assumed Emma Johnston "hated" cheer despite her good performance at it. However, the 7 Little Johnstons celeb clarified that she really loves cheerleading.

It seems being on the team has been quite challenging for Emma lately, so much so that she decided to take a break. She maintained that she "loved cheer so much," but it's "too much to explain why" she quits.

Emma Johnston did not give further details about her decision. Still, fans hope that the 7 Little Johnstons star will pick up her cheerleading pom-poms again soon.

7 Little Johnstons: Emma's Journey to Cheerleading

Emma Johnston first tried cheerleading in 2018. The 7 Little Johnstons celeb did not let her condition stop her from being a great addition to her cheer team.

Emma's hard work eventually paid off. In 2019, she was selected as the new co-captain of her squad. She was surprised to actually get the position at the time as she considered herself a shy person.

For now, it remains to be seen if Emma Johnston will return to her squad. Despite her decision to quit, the 7 Little Johnstons star keeps a positive attitude and enjoys her school life.

In September, she goes all out with her creative costumes for Homecoming week. Her brother, Alex Johnston, also joined in the fun, matching her outfits.
