Following her breakup from her ex-boyfriend, whom she recently introduced to fans, 1000-lb Sisters' Tammy Slaton says she is open to date again.
Tammy, 35, talks about his one-month-long relationship with Phillip Redmond on a recent episode of the TLC hit show.
It took quite a long time to finally encourage Tammy to lose weight. However, Amy Slaton fears all that might go to waste because of her sister's newfound love. Phillip's preference for larger could affect Tammy's eagerness to shed some pounds, putting her back to square one.
"I'm trying to motivate Tammy because I do have my worries about Phillip, the new boyfriend," Amy said in a previous interview. "He loves big women, but she needs to lose this weight."
1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton 'Always Open' To Dating
Tammy Slaton reveals she and Phillip broke up in an exclusive clip from Monday's episode. The 1000-lb Sisters star said she got "tired of him getting mad over every little thing."
Despite the split, Tammy said she's not taking a break from dating. "My door is always open to talking to people," she added.
However, her eagerness to find love continues to cause concern to her friends and family. Misty, in particular, can't help but wonder if the 1000-lb Sisters star believes that being in a relationship is more important than her diet goals.

What's Next for Tammy?
Tammy Slaton recently acknowledged that she only lost 60 pounds of the 100 pounds her doctor had asked her to drop while in rehab for food addiction. The 1000-lb Sisters star was definitely spiraling down again, dragging whatever progress she made in the past.
Despite her assertion that she was homesick, some believed Phillip was the main reason. Many think he's the distraction that kicked Tammy off track of her weight loss plan. The reality star had regained 15 of the 60 pounds she had dropped at her first weigh-in.

While any progress Tammy Slaton makes in her slim-down journey is reassuring to viewers, the 1000-lb Sisters celeb has shown signs of being affected by her pattern of losing weight and gaining it again.
Tammy's deteriorating mental health is the most telling evidence that she's suffered a setback. She has previously stated that she struggled with depression, and her lack of motivation can be seen across all of 1000-lb Sisters' seasons.
If it's exhausting for spectators, yo-yo dieting must be even more difficult for Tammy Slaton. Regrettably, 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 has proven she is still stuck on a loop between progress and regression. Will she be able to break the cycle and live a healthier life?
