Michael knows what Diane is going through. The lawyer had a scandalous past of his own. It was a long journey for Michael to establish a reputation as an esteemed attorney.
Michael is now a family man and has a happy life. If Michael can change, he feels that Diane can too. So if Michael finds out that Diane ran cons as Taylor, he may feel conflicted.
