Little People, Big World star Matt Roloff had fun with his son Jacob as they dug some holes in the farm. The father and son duo spent a productive day together. Based on Matt's video clips, it seems the younger Roloff prefers doing things the old-school way.
Little People, Big World: Matt and Jacob Roloff Go Old School
Jacob Roloff apparently found an old post hole digger in the barn and decided to use it to dig some holes. Matt Roloff said his son planned to plant some trees and wanted to use the vintage farming tool. As old as the tool was, Jacob still managed to dig a hole despite its blunt blades, though he did break a sweat just to make that one hole. Amazingly, neither the rod nor the handle broke while the LPBW star was at it.
"Jacob found this antique hole driller hanging in the barn," Matt said in between laughs. "This is the way he likes it. He wants to plant these trees." Jacob appeared really proud of what he was doing, which many find adorable.
Matt Roloff suggested that they "put it in the grinder, sharpen it up a little bit" to make it easier to break the ground. The post hole digger also seems to be pretty rusty, so it may need more than just "a little bit" of sharpening to return to its former glory.
The 25-year-old LPBW celeb noted that they needed bigger and deeper holes for the trees to fit. He said he would widen the hole with a shovel to be big enough for the huge pail-like containers. Despite that, Matt was overwhelmed with the antique digging tool saying, "that's pretty impressive!"

LPBW: Jacob is a Fan of Old Stuff?
It seems like Jacob Roloff has an old soul. Aside from the old-fashioned farming tools, the former LPBW star loves classic cars.
Matt Roloff recently gave him a vintage 1967 Volkswagen Beetle on his 25th birthday last January 17. The yellow bug belonged to Matt's father before it was passed on to his sister and now to Jacob.

Aside from his new "old" ride, Jacob Roloff also drives around in a dark red 1987 Westfalia, which he and his wife Isabel Sofia Rock call Ruby. The LPBW couple and their two dogs, Luna and Moose, traveled the country in this same beat-up van.
They visited ten states and ten national parks before ending their van life in 2021. The couple is now married with a son named Mateo Tomas and has settled in Bend, Oregon.
