But his response resulted in more questions than answers. Luckily for fans, Jovi's mom is more than willing to set the record straight once and for all.

Looks like Jovi Dufren will be getting an earful from mom Gwen Eymard after he pulled a joke on his fans. The 90 Day Fiance celeb recently had a Q&A session on Instagram.
Jovi was asked by a curious fan why his last name is Dufren and not Eymard, which is Gwen and Monty's surname. But it seems Yara Zaya's husband doesn't take the question seriously.
In response, the 90 Day Fiance star said his last name is different from his parents because he's "adopted." Many were shocked to see Jovi's response, especially since he's faced similar theories in the past.
Apparently, some fans think Jovi Dufren doesn't resemble his mom or dad. Others also noted that Gwen and Monty celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, which doesn't add up to Jovi's age.

Gwen Eymard Reacts to Jovi's Naughty Joke
But Gwen Eymard took matters into her own hands before Jovi Dufren's joke could cause more damage. The 90 Day Fiance fan-favorite took to Instagram and cleared the air following her son's remarks.
In a short video, Gwen reiterated that Jovi is, in fact, her biological son. She said her son seems to think it's "funny" to pretend that he's adopted when in reality, he's not.
Gwen Eymard goes on to explain that she was married before and that marriage created Jovi. Gwen added that her husband, Monty, has been her son's father since he was three years old. In the end, Gwen assured everyone that Jovi is not adopted and that it was merely a joke.

Meanwhile, Gwen Eymard is loving her role as grandma to Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya's baby Mylah. The 90 Day Fiance star has been doting on her seven-month-old granddaughter on social media and fans are loving it.
Gwen seems to be a hands-on grandparent, not only to Mylah but to her other grandchildren as well. She often shares her sweet moments with Jovi and Yara's daughter on Instagram, clearly smitten by the newest addition to their family.
Previously, Gwen said she wants little Mylah to call her "Babushka" — a Ukrainian term for grandmother. Many find it an adorable and thoughtful gesture, especially for her daughter-in-law.
