7 Little Johnstons Alex Johnston Celebrates Birthday
Alex Johnston turns 16 years old this week, and what better way to celebrate than with family and friends. The 7 Little Johnstons teenage boy was surprisingly quiet on social media on his birthday, but he likely had a simple celebration with the rest of the Johnstons.
Alex's parents, Amber and Trent Johnston, showed their love and appreciation for him on Instagram to mark the special day. They shared several photos of him from childhood to the present.

Johnston Family Showers Alex With Love on His Big Day
The rest of the 7 Little Johnstons family also shared their touching greetings for Alex Johnston. The eldest sibling, Jonah Johnston shared an adorable throwback photo together, along with the sweet caption, "Happy 16th to my first best friend."
Alex's sister, Anna Johnston, followed suit with her own throwback picture with the celebrant, calling him the "coolest dude ever!" On the other hand, Emma wished him a sweet happy birthday alongside a cute childhood photo of them.

7 Little Johnstons: A Look Back at Alex's Journey
Alex Johnston has definitely come a long way ever since his debut on the show in 2015. Trent and Amber Johnston adopted the 7 Little Johnstons star in 2005, but it wasn't an easy one.
The couple has always wanted to have a son, so they quickly took the chance when they received a call about adopting Alex. However, the process was quite challenging.
"South Korea requires the adoption fee to be paid in full at the beginning of the process; therefore, we did not have the funds or the time to fundraise," Amber Johnston previously revealed. "Every day it took us to acquire the funds necessary was one more day our son was not receiving the medical treatment and care he needed."
Eventually, the 7 Little Johnstons couple managed to get the amount necessary to proceed with the adoption, all thanks to a volunteer from their church.
When Alex was 10, he had brain surgery after being diagnosed with Central Apnea. It rattled his whole family as they feared for his safety and recovery.
Fortunately, the 7 Little Johnstons star's surgery was a success, and he fully recovered in no time. Now, Alex Johnston continues to thrive, thanks to his family's never-ending love and support.
